Happy Holidays from Matthew, Laura, Norris and Lumps!

15 Weeks!

This week, I swore I felt Lumps kick! I literally spit out my drink and yelled, "It kicked!" Matthew looked at me and said, "What in your soda would kick you?"


At 15 weeks, Lumps is 4 inches long and the size of an apple. He/She is moving amniotic fluid through their the nose and upper respiratory tract, which is helping lungs develop (super!). Lumps' legs are growing longer and Lumps now has use of its joints and limbs. Lumps can also sense light. Neat stuff, huh :)

Week 14

This week Lumps will be doing the following: squint, frown, grimace, pee and may even demonstrate some thumb sucking action. Lumps is working on the facial expressions as well (thanks brain impulses). He/she is also peeing (so gross) into the amniotic fluid. Lumps is now 31/2 inches long, weighs about 1.5 ounces and is the size of a lemon.

PSA Announcement: EVERYONE should have materinity pants!! I wish I had known sooner! That Friends episode was NOT lying. Even men should invest in a pair...purely for Thanksgiving purposes :). Huge thumbs up!

Baby Lumps

Here it is, folks! The first look at baby Lumps! Matthew and I are so excited! This was taken at 10 1/2 weeks. Currently, I am at 12 weeks, which (according to babycenter.com) is the week of REFLEXES! Lumps is learning to suck its thumb, blink, and APPARENTLY...if we poke the belly, Lumps might just poke back. Neat, huh? As soon as Matt and I find our camera (blame it on the pregnancy forgetfulness), we will try and post pictures of the growing bump, our lives as parents to be, etc. We will also try and post Lump growth updates. This week...Lump is the size of a lime! Stay tuned :)
